Friday the 9th of March saw The King Lot open the main stage at HRH AOR 2018 in Wales. It was amazing. This concert marked the end of what I see stage one of promoting the new album "A World Without Evil."
In February, we had around 16 dates all around the UK, and the finale was HRH in Wales. We were the first band on opening the main stage this day. It got reported that the norm is to expect a good crowd but little did we anticipate it to be fully packed out. We were told that people were queuing round the building to get in. This is a result of hard work in growing our reputation on the tour and social media.
We started by introducing our selves and dedicating the set to Nathan T Gunn from Estrella who recently passed away. Such a tragic loss for this young man to go. There was a cheer from the crowd as we then went into the first song "hearts on fire."
The set went well with the crowd being responsive to our songs. The feedback after the even and night was that we went down well at the festival. Such a great time had by all.
As February approaches, it will be the first tour for the new album from The King Lot. The songs were written over two year period, most of them more than 20 months ago. There is so much more material written since then. As the tour approaches, it is going to be a busy time. I'm so looking forward to it.
